surprise from God

i'm blogging from camp! xD

Just came back from some exercise an hour or two ago. Now waiting for reveille and breakfast before going to start work on some super secret project that will only be unveiled on the 19th dec! okay it's not super secret, but i think it's cool.

anyway, other than chronicling the nitty gritty things that happened today, i really want to thank God for showing that He's moving around me. just this week, during my live range, one of my platoon warrants saw me reading the bible. he strikes me as one of the last people in the world who'd read the bible, and i thought he'd humiliate me and make some joke about the bible. but instead, he told me he'd been a bible student before, somewhen in sec 2. i was pretty stunned. he said he wasn't a christian, but i was still pretty stunned.

after the live range, he came to me and asked "you christian right?" then he showed me the verses from matthew 5:27-28

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

then he said: "chum lah, i liddat how? then i kena many times already." or something to that effect. i didn't really know how to reply him, but i found it encouraging that he actually went to a bible and point out that verse. it means that God is still working in his life. I pray that he will soon know God's love and acknowledge Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour.
